This Cookie Policy explains how KirokuKit uses browser storage technologies when you visit our website.
1. Cookies and Local Storage
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. localStorage is a similar technology, except that it is not sent to the server automatically. We use localStorage for usage analytics, and our servers do not automatically issue a cookie in response to your visit.
2. What We Store in Your Browser
2.1 Anonymous Identifiers (localStorage)
We store the following items in your browser's localStorage for usage analytics. These are not cookies, so they are not sent to the server automatically when you browse a page.

These identifiers are randomly generated and not linked to your name or email address.
2.2 Language Preference
This site does not switch the display language automatically based on your IP address, country, or browser language settings. No language cookie is issued simply because you opened a page.

2.3 Authentication Cookies (Supabase)
Only if you sign in to an existing account, Supabase sets session cookies to keep you logged in. They are not set for ordinary visitors who do not have an account.

2.4 Cloudflare Turnstile (Contact and Sign-in Screens)
On the contact form and the sign-in and sign-up screens we use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated submissions. When those pages are displayed, your browser communicates with Cloudflare, and your IP address, TLS fingerprint, browser user agent, sitekey and associated origin are sent to Cloudflare. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that processing. We do not use Cloudflare's pre-clearance feature, which is what issues the cf_clearance cookie.
2.5 Google OAuth (If You Sign In with Google)
If you sign in to an existing account using Google, Google sets authentication cookies as part of the OAuth flow. These are handled by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not store or have access to these Google cookies directly.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies
- We do not use third-party analytics tools (tags or SDKs)
- We do not use tracking pixels from social media platforms
- We do not sell or share browser storage data with advertisers
4. Managing Your Storage
You can clear localStorage and cookies at any time from your browser settings. Clearing localStorage will reset your anonymous identifier; you will be assigned a new one on your next visit. If you clear the stored language preference, open the Japanese (/) or English (/en) URL directly, or choose again from the language switcher. Clearing authentication cookies will sign you out of your account if you are logged in.

We may update this Cookie Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
